TOWARDS THIRD GENERATION LEARNING AND TEACHING: CONTOURS OF THE NEW LEARNING

The book "Towards Third Generation Learning and Teaching: Contours of the New Learning", edited by Prof. Dr. Murat Yülek, Rector of OSTİM Technical University, and Prof. Dr. JG Wissema, was published in English.

Prof. Dr. Murat Yülek, Rector of OSTİM Technical University, the University of the Industrial World, co-edited the book "Towards Third Generation Learning and Teaching: Contours of the New Learning" together with Prof. Dr. JG Wissema. While Yülek's previous book, "How Nations Succeed" was translated into Chinese after English and Turkish and reached a wide audience, this book, which he edited, describes the 3rd generation learning and teaching model.

In his book “Towards Third Generation Learning and Teaching: Contours of the New Learning,” he emphasizes that learning is a fundamental human trait, and that learning has become the distinguishing feature of civilization. Questioning whether teachers are among those who have made significant contributions to society and whether they should work as they have in the last millennium; the book points out that almost everything in learning and teaching has changed. The book emphasizes that traditional methods are being replaced by newer ones and that there is a range of learning technologies, and that it is, above all, necessary for societies to adapt to this change.  The book explores past dynamics and future ways of learning and teaching by offering an overview of the thoughts and experiences of today's brightest minds, what is going on, and where we are going
