Retired from Delft University of Technology in the Netherlands, Wissema is a professor of innovation and entrepreneurship. "Towards the Third Generation University" questions the purpose of the traditional university, its basic educational principles, and the requirements for further scientific progress.
According to Prof. Dr. J.G. (Hans) Wissema, there is no chance of survival for the old system. Therefore, this book is a guide for university leaders to become and manage the university of the age. Describing the current changes in the international university system and how these changes can be implemented, Wissema also offers practical advice from his experiences during his time as a consultant at universities.
