Ass. Prof. Serkan Bürken
Serkan Bürken graduated from Dokuz Eylul University, Mechanical Engineering Department in 2004. In the same year, he began his MSc. in Middle East Technical University in the department of Science and Technology Policy Studies where he subsequently took his PhD in 2014 with his dissertation, namely "Technology development in Turkish Automotive Industry: A case of Middle Technology Trap". He worked for Technology Development Foundation of Turkey while he edited two non-academic books in the same period, namely “TTGV’de 20 Yıl” and "Cumhuriyet Türkiyesi'nin Sanayileşme Öyküsü", on the subject of technological development in Turkey. After having led technology transfer offices in two different universities, he is now working for OSTIM Technical University as an Assistant Professor in Vocational School and as the TTO Manager of the university; and giving lectures on entrepreneurship. His main areas of interest are R&D funding, technology transfer, entrepreneurship, technological networks and clusters, technological development, industrial policy and international political economy.
Ass. Prof. Esra Yükseltürk
She is a graduate of Gazi University Physics Department PhD (2016). She completed her undergraduate and graduate studies at Gazi University. She has Minor Mathematics and Anadolu University International Relations diplomas. She has 3 publications, 14 International, 6 National oral and poster presentations in prestigious journals. Between 2018-2019, she worked as an Expert Physicist in an international technology company at METU Technocity. Esra Yükseltürk, who is also a Class C Occupational Safety Specialist, holds many certificates from different fields (Information security, Pedogogic Formation, etc.). Esra Yükseltürk, who also includes renewable energy systems, new generation energies and energy policies, also tries to take an active role in social and cultural activities. AFAD Volunteer.
Instructor Serkan Güneş
He received his BS and MS degrees in Mechanical Engineering Manufacturing and Construction. He worked as an engineer and department manager in R&D, Product Development and Design departments of different industrial organizations for 15 years. During these duties, he took part in numerous national / international R&D and production projects in the automotive, defense industry and construction machinery sectors, and assumed responsibilities in engineering tasks involving mechanical, electromechanical, hydraulic-pneumatic content. He received Hydraulic Systems Training in Hamburg / Germany. He worked as a consultant in the installation of ISO 9000 and TS 16949 Quality Assurance Systems in more than 20 enterprises. He is continuing his doctorate education in Gazi University Mechanical Engineering Department and has articles published in international and national journals, and papers he presented at international symposiums and congresses. His areas of interest are Computer Aided Design, Advanced Manufacturing Technologies, Manufacturing Systems and Modeling of Manufacturing Systems, Hydraulic-Pneumatic Systems, 3D Printing Technologies and Industry 4.0 Applications.
