Prof. Dr. Elif AKAGÜN ERGİN (Department Head)

Elif Akagün Ergin started her higher education at Bilkent University Faculty of Business Administration in 1992 and graduated from the Business Administration-Economics double major honor program in 1996. She completed her master's degree in international marketing at Rutgers University in the USA in 1999. Then, she received her doctorate in production and marketing from Gazi University in 2007.

She started her academic career as a lecturer in the Department of Business Administration at Çankaya University in 1999. She received the title of Associate Professor on 17.03.2014. She has been working in the Department of Business Administration at Çankaya University for 23 years. At Rutgers University in 2008, Prof. Dr. She conducted postdoctoral research in the field of “Consumer Acculturation” with Carol Kaufman-Scarborough. She was a visiting professor at Rutgers University in 2013 and 2016 and gave the "Strategic Brand Management" course.

Elif Akagün Ergin, who left her duty at Çankaya University in September 2022, started to work as Professor Dr in the Marketing Department of OSTİM Technical University as of October 2022. 

She has 6 Turkish and 24 English articles, 4 of which are SSCI, published in international refereed journals in the professional field. She has presented papers in more than twenty international congresses and has received different awards from these congresses.

Associate Prof. Handan ÖZDEMİR

Handan Özdemir was born in 1978 in Ankara. After completing her undergraduate education in Çankaya University, Department of Business Administration in 2001, she started her master's degree in Gazi University Social Sciences Institute Production Management and Marketing Department in the same year and joined the Çankaya University Business Administration Department research assistant staff. Completing her master's degree in 2003, she started Gazi University Social Sciences Institute General Business Doctorate Program in 2004 and completed her doctorate in 2009 with her thesis titled "The Relationship between Ethics and Brand Loyalty in Television Advertisements". Between 2009 and 2012, she worked as a lecturer in the Department of Business Administration at the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences at Çankaya University, and as an Associate Professor in the Department of Business Administration at the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences at Çankaya University between 2012 and 2017. After being appointed to Çankaya University, Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences, Department of Public Relations and Advertising in 2017, she received the title of associate professor in 2019. In 2022, she started to work as a lecturer at OSTİM Technical University, Department of Marketing.

She received training and certificates in the field of marketing research with Basic and Advanced SPSS, NVIVO, LISREL programs. Additionally, in June 2012, she received training on “Consumption Theory: Research Methodology” at Royal Hollaway, University of London- Consumer Culture Theorizing Phd School. Handan Özdemir, who has many national and international scientific article publications, book and book chapters, and various papers in international congresses in the fields of consumer behavior, advertising and branding, has various awards in international congresses and still holds many awards in basic areas such as Marketing Research and Applications, Consumer Research, Retail Marketing. teaches lessons.

Assist. Prof. Güler MANISALI DARMAN (Ph.D.)

Dr. Guler Manisali-Darman is a graduate of Management from METU-(Middle East Technical University) and has her PhD on Accounting and Finance from Baskent University in Turkey. Dr. Manisali-Darman was the Executive Director of ICC Turkish National Committee from 1980 to 1988. She then worked as the CFO and CEO of eminent groups in private sector. Dr. Manisali-Darman is the author of the “Corporate Governance Worldwide” published in 2004 in Paris by the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC). Dr. Manisali-Darman also lectured on Corporate Governance in Middle East Technical University, Bilkent University Executive MBA program and İzmir Economy University MBA program. She is the Founder, Chair of Corporate Governance and Sustainability Center (CGS Center) in Turkey.

Assist. Prof. Melike Aktaş BOZKURT (Ph.D.)

Dr. Melike Aktaş Bozkurt graduated from Bilkent University, Department of International Relations in 1998. She completed her master's and doctorate studies in the field of Accounting and Finance at Başkent University. She worked in the banking sector as a commercial portfolio manager between 1998-2010. She has studies on international accounting and auditing standards, bank mergers and acquisitions, market discipline in banking. She works as an accounting and finance manager in various private sector companies, and provides investment and financial consultancy services for manufacturing enterprises.

Research Assistant Şeyda OK

She graduated from Gazi University Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences, Department of Business Administration in 2016 with an Honorary Degree. Immediately after graduation, she started her master's degree in 2016 by winning first place in the Department of Marketing Sciences at Gazi University Faculty of Social Sciences. During her training, she worked as an assistant specialist in the financial affairs department of the logistics sector. In 2019, she completed her postgraduate thesis on brand personality perceptions of consumers. In 2020, she started her education in the PhD program of Ankara Hacı Bayram Veli University Department of Business Administration. She has international publications on brand personality and consumer behavior.
