Prof. Dr. Mustafa Yılmaz KILINÇ E-mail: [email protected] Prof. Dr. Mustafa Yılmaz Kılınç after he has been graduated with M.S and PhD. (Civil Engineering) from Colorado State University, U.S.A has been appointed as faculty member of Civil Engineering, Hydraulic Division, Water Resources Engineering for 20 years at METU, between 1973- 1993. Beside at DPU, KKU and HKU (Hasan Kalyoncu University), he had served as Head of Civil Engineering Department and Dean of Architecture and Engineering faculty. With permission of METU he had been recruited as UNESCO Expert of U.N and UNDPI Nigeria, Kaduna (1982- 1984) in his field of Water Resources Engineering. In 1985 he had been hired in Higher Education Council- Word Bank Instructor Training project. He had also thought and carried out a project about on Engineering Hydrology and Water Resources Engineering. He had enough national and international publications. At the U.S.A literature he has “KILINC Equations”. He had given several conferences and seminars in the field of Water Resources and Environmental Engineering. He was a chairman of University Entrance Exam in Ankara(1979- 1981)

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Kemal YAMAN (Department Head) E-mail: [email protected] Dr. Yaman completed his undergraduate education at Gazi University, Faculty of Engineering and Architecture, Department of Mechanical Engineering (1997), Master's (2001) and Doctorate (2007) studies at Gazi University, Institute of Science and Technology, Department of Mechanical Engineering. He received the title of Associate Professor in Mechanical Engineering in 2021. He started his professional career as a Research Assistant in the Department of Machine Theory and Dynamics, graduating in 1997 with the first rank in the department he graduated from. While he was a Research Assistant, he gave undergraduate level courses such as System Dynamics applications, Control Engineering, Technical Drawings, Machine Design, Mold and Die Design and Computer Aided Design and Manufacturing. In 2002, he started to work as a Researcher at TÜBİTAK SAGE. He completed TÜBİTAK SAGE as Mechanical Production Unit Head, Mechanical Design Unit Head and the last seven years as Mechanical Systems Group Coordinator. During his eighteen-year TÜBİTAK mission, he took part in more than thirty projects at various levels. Together with TÜBİTAK UZAY, he worked as TÜBİTAK SAGE Project Executive within the scope of RASAT Özel Üretimleri. In 2020, he left TÜBİTAK SAGE and established his own company under the name of A&K Defense AG. After working in the Defense Industry sector for about a year, he worked as the Design Group Leader at Ankara Teknopark Enekom Railacoustic Company between 2021-2022. He transfers his experiences in the field of Defense and Aerospace Technologies to the new generation through external courses given at various universities. He has served as a referee in various academic journals and congresses. He has many national and international scientific publications as well as one international patent. He knows the English language. He is married and has two children. His fields of study are Mechanical and Industrial Design, Mechanical Vibrations, Manufacturing Engineering, CAD/CAM Technologies, GD&T, Image Processing, Fracture Mechanics, Finite Element Methods and Polymer Composite materials. |

Assist. Prof. Dr. Ahmet ATAK Senior Expert Mechanical Engineer E-Mail: [email protected] He completed his undergraduate and graduate studies in Mechanical Engineering at Ruhr University in Bochum, Germany in 1992. After working as a mechanical engineer in various companies in Germany for about 22 years, he returned to Turkey in 2012. He worked as a Senior Researcher at TUBITAK Space Technologies Research Institute for 5 years. Then he worked as the Structural Engineering Manager in TAI Space Department for 2 years. He completed his Ph.D. in Gazi University, Department of Industrial Product Design in September 2019. From the beginning of 2020 to August 2022, he worked as a lecturer at Gazi University TAI Kazan-Vocational School. From now on he has been working as the head of the Industrial Design Department at OSTIM Technical University. In addition to his advanced design and analysis expertise, he has been and is doing R&D consultancy in the energy, medical, chemical plants and recently aerospace sectors.

Assist. Prof. Dr. İbrahim YAŞAR E-Mail: [email protected] Dr. İbrahim YAŞAR graduated from METU Mechanical Engineering Department in 1992. He completed his master's degree in 1996 and doctorate in 2002 at Karadeniz Technical University (KTU) Institute of Science and Technology, Department of Mechanical Engineering. He attended the National Security Academy and TODAI Diplomacy Training. He graduated from the School of Justice. He studied Arabic at Ankara University and Gazi University School of Foreign Languages, Arabic Preparatory Classes. In 1993, he was appointed as a Research Assistant to the Department of Materials Science, Department of Mechanical Engineering at KTU. In the same department between 2002 and 2004, He worked as a Dr. Research Assistant. He worked at the National Boron Research Institute as a specialist between 2004-2007 and as a Research and Development Coordinator between 2007-2014. Between 2014 and 2023, he served as the Vice President and Member of the Board of Directors of the Turkish Patent and Trademark Office, Head of the Strategy Development Department and Industrial Property Specialist. He gave "Engineering Materials" courses in KTO Karatay University Mechatronics Engineering and Mechanical Engineering Departments in 2011-2014, and "Intellectual Property and Innovation" courses in different departments of Ankara Yıldırım Beyazıt University in 2017-2023. On February 1, 2023, at OSTİM Technical University, Faculty of Architecture and Design, Department of Industrial Design, he started working as a lecturer. He acts as an expert in areas related to patent, trademark and design rights. Dr. İbrahim YAŞAR speaks fluent English and intermediate Arabic. He is married and has three children. |

Assist. Prof. Atilla AYKANAT E-Mail: [email protected] Dr. Atilla Aykanat graduated from A.D.M.M.A. in 1970 as an architect. He completed his German language studies at the Goete Institute in Germany in 1971-72. In 1972-74, he repeated his architectural education in Germany Karlsruhe Technical University (TH) Faculty of Architecture and received his Diplom Eng.- Architekt diploma. In 1974-76, he took specialization courses in Reinforced Concrete and Statics at the Civil Engineering Faculty of the same university. He worked in various architectural offices in Germany. In 1977-79, he worked as a Building Project Assistant and Specialist in the Department of Architecture in A.D.M.M.A. In 1984, he completed his doctoral studies at the Faculty of Architecture of Istanbul Technical University and received the title of doctor of science. Between 1977 and 2007, he worked as an Architect, Chief Architect, Expert Architect and Project Group Manager at Türkiye Şeker Fabrikaları A.Ş. He received his Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Eskişehir Anadolu University in 2007. During this period, he served as a member of the management and supervisory boards of various industrial institutions and engineering companies. In 2011-13, he worked in Gaziantep Hasan Kalyoncu University, Faculty of Fine Arts and Architecture, as the founding head of the Department of Architecture, Deputy Dean and Member of the Faculty Board. In 2016, he worked as a faculty member at the Department of Architecture and Interior Architecture at Istanbul Doğuş University and simultaneously in the design and construction of various architectural projects. He is still working at Ankara Ostim Technical University, Faculty of Architecture and Design. He works as a lecturer. Having written several books and articles in the field of architecture, Dr. Atilla Aykanat knows English at a limited working level and German at an advanced level.

Research Assist. Merve SEYHAN E-Mail: [email protected] She graduated from Anadolu University Faculty of Architecture and Design, Department of Industrial Design in 2018. She completed her master's degree in Gazi University, Graduate School of Natural and Applied Sciences, Department of Industrial Design in 2022. Areas of study and interests; product design, design research, design and consumption. She worked on the relationship between planned obsolescence and industrial product design. Eda ALPER E-Mail: [email protected] In 2017, she completed her undergraduate education at Istanbul Arel University, Department of Industrial Product Design, with a full scholarship. The same year she started to study mechanical engineering mechanical design area as a Master Student at Yıldız Technical University. She continued her education at Berlin Technical University in 2019 with Erasmus student exchange program. In her graduate thesis, she focused on the design of a breast pump by combining design and engineering approaches. Her current fields of research are systematic design, surface modeling, product design, and interface design. |

Şüheda KANAT TERLEMEZ E-Mail: [email protected] She graduated from Gazi University, Department of Industrial Product Design in 2020.During her undergraduate education, she studied at The Universitat Jaume I, Spain with the Erasmus student exchange program. The same year after her graduation, she started her master's degree at Gazi University, Department of Industrial Design. She worked as a manager and designer for 2 years in the company she founded in 2020. Now, she continues his master's degree, which she took a break due to force majeure. |

Tuğçe KARALAR E-Mail: [email protected] She completed her undergraduate education in 2021 at Middle East Technical University, Faculty of Architecture, Department of Industrial Design. During her undergraduate education, she worked as a project student and intern in companies such as BSH Home Appliances, Garanti BBVA, and QNB Finansbank. Immediately after her graduation, she worked as a designer in the industrial furniture sector for 1.5 years. Then, in 2023, she started her graduate education at Gazi University, Graduate School of Natural and Applied Sciences, Industrial Design Department. Areas of study and interests; product design, user experience design, user interface design, service design and design research.

After graduation, she worked as a designer in the lighting industry for 1 year. Betül TEKİN KAVŞUK E-mail: [email protected] In 2021, she finished her undergraduate studies at the Department of Industrial Design, Faculty of Architecture and Design, Eskisehir Technical University. During her undergraduate studies, she participated in the Erasmus exchange student program at Valladolid University in Spain. She has begun her master's program in the department of industrial design at Eskisehir Technical University's Institute of Graduate Programs after completing her undergraduate studies. She has experience in undergraduate industrial design education and user insight. Product design, design research, and user experience design are her fields of study and interests. |

Prof. Dr. Abdullah TOĞAY He completed his undergraduate education in the field of Industrial Technology Education in 1995. In the following years, he continued his graduate education at Gazi University in the same field. He did his Master's thesis on Computer Usage in Static Analysis of Plane Frame System Furniture Elements. He started to work in the academy in 1996 as a Research Assistant at the Department of Industrial Technology Education at Gazi University. He completed his master's degree in 1998. Then he started his Ph.D. education in the same field. He discussed the Situation, Problems and Solution Proposals of the Wooden Construction Industry in Turkey in his Ph.D. In 2003, he started to work as a lecturer in the Industrial Technology Education Department. Then he started to work as a lecturer in the Department of Industrial Design at Gazi University in 2013. He received his associate professorship in 2017. Between 2014-2020, he was the director of Application Centers, Earthquake Engineering Application, and Research Center. In 2017, he received his professorship in the Department of Industrial Design. Since 2019, he has been working as a vice-dean at Gazi University, Faculty of Architecture. His fields of study are Industrial Arts, Design Studies, Wood Mechanics and Technology, Augmented Reality, Information Visualization, and Virtual Reality. In addition to undergraduate and graduate studio courses, he gives design and technology courses such as computer-aided design and animation. |

Prof Dr. Dilek AKBULUT She completed her undergraduate education in 1997 at Middle East Technical University, Department of Industrial Design. Afterward, she started her master's degree in the same field at Middle East Technical University. She published her master's thesis "The Sources of creativity in peddling products with a particular focus on the small-scale toy industry in Turkey". After receiving her master's degree in 2001, she started her Graphic Design Ph.D. at İhsan Doğramacı Bilkent University, Institute of Economics and Social Sciences. She completed her Ph.D. thesis on "A Developmental Basic Design Tool" and then she graduated in 2010. She started her career in 1998 as a Research Assistant at Middle East Technical University. She has been working in the Industrial Design Department of Gazi University since 2007. She received the title of Associate Professor in 2015 and the title of Professor in 2022. She has various publications, studies, and projects on the relationship between design and culture, semiotics, basic design, and toy design. |

Assist. Prof. Dr. Ezgi İLHAN After graduating from Middle East Technical University, Faculty of Architecture, Department of Industrial Design in 2009, she started her professional life as a product and computer games designer. Throughout her career, she undertook the roles of directing the design and production units for different sectors, product control and follow-up, cost and mathematical design, design of games and game-based training programs for social platforms, interface design for user experience, user tests, and analysis. She completed her master's degree in Middle East Technical University, Informatics Institute, Game Technologies Program in 2015 then completed her Ph.D. in Gazi University, Institute of Science and Technology, Industrial Design Program in 2021. She continued her career as Research Assistant and lecturer at Atılım University, Faculty of Fine Arts, Design and Architecture, between 2014-2022. She conducts research on eye-tracking technology and design interaction, human-computer interaction, technology-oriented tools, user experience, gamification applications, and video game design. |

Berna DALAMAN, Instructor E-Mail: [email protected] Founding Owner; Tasarım fikirleri aims to work with companies that what to integrate uniqueness with design, deliver experience about product design and inform and support about how strategic efficiency can be manage. Director at OSTİM Industrial Design and Engineering Center: It is model that brings industrial design and engineering support together and is positioned close to the industrial producers. It primarily provides service at the leading defense and health sectors at OTM Ankara. Management of the design and production of the industrial product is the main responsibility. Mustafa HASDOĞAN, Instructor E-Mail: [email protected] Mustafa Hasdogan graduated from Middle East Technical University, Department of Industrial Design in 1985. Between 1985-88 he worked as a designer in the furniture industry. Between 1988 and 2014, he carried out furniture and interior design projects and applications in his own company named Parantez Tasarım. He worked as a part-time instructor at Middle East Technical University between 1989-2019. Since 2011 he has been teaching drawing and design as a part-time instructor at Atılım University. As a substitute member of the Ankara Branch of the Chamber of Architects, he contributes to the foundation studies of chamber of industrial designers. He is the Vice President of Industrial Designers Society of Turkey (ETMK), of which he is one of the founders and has worked in its board for many years. |

Cem GÜRBÜZ, Instructor After completing his undergraduate education at Anadolu University, Department of Economics, he started his master's degree in Art Theories and Criticism Master's Program with Thesis, which was opened within Anadolu University for the first time in Turkey. He completed his master's degree by preparing a thesis on Gustav Klimt, who was considered an important painter in the years of modernization in western painting. In 2009, he started his PhD in the field of Art History at Anadolu University. He continues to work on his thesis, which is accepted as Anadolu University Scientific Research Project. He has extensive knowledge on contemporary art criticism and history as well as classical art history. He has an interdisciplinary education that includes the fields of phenomenology, history and criticism, aiming to examine and evaluate the formation processes of the work of art. In addition, he gained practical experience in art branches such as painting, sculpture and ceramics. |

Olcay DAĞLI, Instructor After completing her primary, secondary and high school education in Ankara, she started her undergraduate education at Eskişehir Anadolu University Industrial Product Design Department and graduated in 2006. She received the third prize in the category of Home Appliances Design during her undergraduate education. She received the second prize in the workshop of Girne Amerikan University. After her graduation, she won second place in Furniture Design and honorable mention in Small Household Appliances Design. She received 3 months of design training in Italy within the scope of the Leonardo Da Vinci program. She worked in the sector for 14 years as a furniture designer for 3 years and an automotive designer for 11 years. She is currently working as a freelance designer. |

Gezin Burçak GÖNENÇ, Instructor Gezin Burçak Gönenç. graduated from the Department of Industrial Product Design at ODTU in 1995.Since 1995, she has been actively engaging in design in the furniture industry. Her work has earned her awards in furniture design competitions. In 2016, she began working as a part-time lecturer at Gazi University, teaching courses such as basic design, graduation projects, product design with color and design focused on competitions. In addition, she is a part-time lecturer at TED University, taking on the design studio course. Currently, she works as a freelance designer and consultant for furniture and industrial design. |
