Prof. Dr. Birol KILKIŞ

Dr. Kilkis received his Ph.D. degree in Mechanical Engineering with high honors from Middle East Technical University and graduated in 1972 from von Karman Institute for Fluid Dynamics in Belgium with Honors. Dr. Kilkis has been working on heat transfer, unified heat transfer theory, high-performance buildings, quantum mechanics, fluid dynamics, heat pumps, energy strategies, hydrogen energy with renewable energy systems, hydrogen cities, 5th generation Net-zero exergy cities, district energy systems, aerodynamics, exergy analysis, combined heat and power, tri-generation, green airports, sustainable aviation, integrated solar PV systems, and energy simulations. He is the co-author of a most recent book on Cogeneration with Renewables. In total, he has published more than 600 papers in several journals and proceedings on a large variety of topics. Since 1972, he has been the principal investigator of several industrial projects, including a NATO Science for Stability project on a de-centralized, co-generating 1.5 MW fluidized-bed power plant. He had been a contractor to DOE, Morgantown Energy Technology Center in West Virginia twice on fluidized bed heat transfer modeling. Between 1998 and 1999, he acted as the project principal for snow melting systems for Air Force bases, heat tracing of fighter jet aircraft during freezing periods, and snow/ice melting of helicopter pads on Navy Vessels. He taught at METU, Gannon University and University of Missouri Rolla in the USA, and Baskent University. Currently he is the Regional Distinguished Lecturer of ASHRAE and the vice-chair, and WP 1 Leader in ETIP Renewable Heating and Cooling in the European Union, Brussels.

 

     


 

Assist. Prof. Dr. Settar MUŞTU

Dr. Settar MUŞTU was born in 1982 in Gaziantep. He graduated from Industrial Engineering Department of Dokuz Eylül University in 2004. Between 2005 and 2007, he was the Quality Management Chief at Gülsan Holding A.Ş. which is a leading textile company in various product groups. He changed the sector and worked as a Production Engineer between 2007-2009, Manufacturing Manager between 2009-2015 and Factory Manager between 2015-2020 at ŞDL Zincir, which is also a leader in its field. During this period, he received M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees from Industrial Engineering Department of Kırıkkale University in 2013 and 2020 respectively. Areas of interest are; scheduling, meta-heuristic algorithms, optimization algorithms, mathematical modeling and computational complexity.

 

     
 

Assist. Prof. Dr. Mustafa TÜRENGÜL

Doctor Lecturer Mustafa Türengül, Completed His Undergraduate Education, İTÜ Sakarya Engineering Faculty Industrial Engineering Department and Master’s and Doctorate Education at İstanbul University. After Graduation He worked as a Industrial Engineer in the, Paper Factory. Later He became a Research Assistant at Yıldız Technical University and later served as a Doctor Lecturer. He worked in various sectors, consultancy and training projects. Working Places: Investment Planning, Work Study, Ergonomics, Occupational Health and Safety, Human Resources Management, Strategic Management

 

     

 

Research Assist. Sema ÇİFTÇİ

Sema Çiftçi received her undergraduate degree from Sakarya University Industrial Engineering Department in 2018 and started her Kırıkkale University Graduate School of Natural and Applied Sciences master's degree Industrial Engineering in 2018. Her areas of interest are follows: operations research, systems analysis, statistics and statistical analysis, production management, quality management, fuzzy set theory, lean production techniques. Within her undergraduate thesis the scope, she worked on rapid mold change from lean manufacturing techniques and its application in a pvc factory and on the establishment and application of stock control system in a factory producing pvc. Within her master's thesis the scope, she continues to planning of the restricted health resources after the earthquake with an optimization approach.
