Assoc. Professor Hamide Özyürek (Ph.D)(Department Head) 

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Hamide Özyürek is a member at Ostim Technical University, Department of Business Administration. She became a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in 2004. She worked as an accounting manager in private companies. She has a Bachelor’s degree in Department of Business Administration from Anadolu University, Master’s degree from Ufuk University and Ph.D. degree from Kırıkkale University. The title of her Ph.D. dissertation is “Time-Driven Activity-Based Cost Method: Its Application in the Manufacturing Sector”. She has publications in many national and international journals. She participated in conferences in various countries, especially in Hong Kong, Italy and Switzerland and presented her works. She was in Germany in 2013 within the scope of the project titled "Developing Professional Skills on EU Tax Practices and Tax Audits". Within the scope of Erasmus teaching mobility, she gave various accounting courses in 2016 at the Technical University of Košice in Slovakia. The main subjects of her study are cost accounting and managerial accounting. She continues her academic life, which she started in 2007, with the title of associate professor in accounting she received in 2020.

Professor Mustafa POLAT (Ph.D)(Dean)

OSTIM Technical University, Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences member Professor Mustafa Polat has received his undergraduate degree in Systems Engineering from Turkish Military Academy in 1994, his Master’s degree in Business Administration from Yeditepe University in 2000 and his Doctorate degree in Business Administration from Uludağ University in 2010. Professor Polat became an Associate Professor in Management and Strategy in 2012 and a Professor in 2021. He worked as a faculty member, department head and division head at the Military Academy for many years and served in the team working on the feasibility study for the Modern Tank in 2000. He was involved in the foundation of National Defense University between 2016 - 2019 and took part in the reformation of the curriculum at the Military Academy and in that scope, he designed the undergraduate Logistics programme offered at the Turkish Armed Forces and the Turkish Military Academy for the first time in 2019. Professor Polat offered various lectures at Erzincan University, Atılım University and Turkish Aeronautical Association University and gave seminars at the Gendarmerie and Coast Guard Academy as well as other various civil and public entities. He has published international and national articles, book sections and papers in Management, Strategy, Leadership and Organizational Behavior. Professor Polat has been serving as a volunteering advisor for various educational institutions since 2003, trying to contribute in the occupational and career development of young minds. Professor Polat is currently working on individual and organizational skill development at businesses on the way to national development.

Professor Aziz AKGÜL (Ph.D) 

He graduated from the Turkish Military Academy Department of Business Administration. He earned his MBA degree from Department of Business Administration at the Middle East Technical University, Turkey and his MS degree from US Naval Postgraduate School. He completed his Ph.D. at the Department of Business Administration at Ankara University, Turkey. He served as the President of KOSGEB (Turkish Small Business Administration), Senior Advisor to the Prime Minister of Turkey and Member of the Turkish Parliament. He is the pioneer of the Turkish Grameen Microfinance Program which provides microcredit to financially challenged people and also serves as the Chairman of the Board of Trustees at the Turkish Foundation for Waste Reduction. He has published 17 books and many articles on diverse topics that range from Business Management, Operational Research, Statistics, Defense Industry and Happytalism.

Professor Hakan KARATAŞ (Ph.D)

Hakan Karataş graduated from Istanbul University, Faculty of Arts and Sciences, Department of English Language and Education. He completed his master's and doctoral studies at Yıldız Technical University, Department of Educational Sciences, Department of Education Programs and Instruction. Throughout his education, Karataş served as an English teacher, lecturer, vice president and director in various fields. He worked as an Assistant Professor in 2012 and as Associate Professor in 2016 at Yıldız Technical University, Faculty of Education. Between 2009-2016, Karataş who worked as Assistant to Rector has served as a Board Member at Yıldız Teknopark and Yıldız Technology Transfer Office. He served as the Assistant to Rector at Gebze Technical University and Antalya Bilim University. He was a member of the Board of Directors of Yıldız Technical University Foundation and is a founding board member of Gebze Technical Education and Research Foundation. Karataş, who served as ASELSAN Consultant to the Board of Directors in 2018, was appointed as the Vice President for Corporate Management the same year. Karataş, who is a member of the board of directors of Teknohab Technology Development Zone Executive Inc., works as the Chairman of the Board of ASELSAN Social Innovation Leaders Association. Karataş has many national and international articles, notices, publications and projects. Karataş, who has studies on education and behavioral sciences, continues to work on program evaluation, motivation, academic motivation, success-oriented motivation, problem solving skills, adult education.

Assist. Prof. Dr. Buket Atalay Aycan

Dr. Buket Atalay Aycan graduated from Başkent University, Department of Economics in 2005. She completed Ankara University Finance Master's Program in 2008 and Başkent University Accounting and Finance PhD program in 2018. Between 2009 and 2013, she worked as an assistant expert of commercial customers at Ziraat Bank and between 2013 and 2015, she worked as a assistant expert at the Investment and Real Estate Department at the General Directorate of Foundations. She worked as a research assistant in the field of accounting at the Department of Business Administration at Başkent University in 2015, and as a lecturer in 2019 and taught Accounting Principles, Financial Statement Analysis, Auditing, Cost and Management Accounting courses in the Business Administration program in English. She has published national and international papers and articles in the fields of accounting and finance. She received her Certified Public Accountant license in 2021. Subsequently, she worked as a finance specialist and corporate risk management manager in private hospitals. She has certificates in big data and business analytics and panel data analysis. Research areas; international accounting standards, financial statement analysis and the quality of financial information.

Research Assistant Zeynep BAYSAL 

Zeynep Baysal has received her undergraduate degree from Yeditepe University, Department of Business Administration in English in 2013. She has a master’s degree in International Business Administration from Anadolu University and is currently enrolled in the Management and Organization programme under the Business Administration department at Anadolu University. She is currently working on her dissertation on institutional logics and professional management. She also has article and book section publications about virtual organizations. Her research interests include organization theory, virtual organizations and strategic management.
