The Department of Aviation Management aims to develop the aviation sector and its technologies, which have a massive share in the world economy with its business diversity and dynamism in a wide spectrum in the sectoral sense, and ultimately to train graduates who will represent our country in the best way by taking part in the management of this sector in the international arena, consequently aims to contribute to the recruitment of qualified managers and expert personnel of the aviation industry .
In accordance with this purpose, the curriculum, prepared on the basis of an interdisciplinary approach, adopts a critical thinking and foresighted approach based on entrepreneurship and innovation in the fields of airline management, civil aviation, airline transportation, with the notion of both management, business and aviation. Within the scope of this program, which will be carried out in both theory and practice, it is aimed to train managers and experts who have contemporary management skills, have a high social and cultural level, are competent in the legislation, and are experts in their fields and who can adapt to change.

In the aviation management program, there are courses such as Airline management, Airline marketing, Financial Management, Airline transportation, Airline flight network and Communication and Navigation Systems. Students taking these courses learn the basic concepts of Aviation Management. Students can increase their academic competencies about aviation rules, civil aviation practices, technological methods and computer programs related to airline transportation and airline communication methods within the scope of the courses given with an entrepreneurial and innovative approach. Determining and solving problems in the field of aviation management, ensuring planning and organization, ensuring the most comfortable and safest transportation of passengers, providing fast and complete shipment and logistics services and providing innovative solutions, taking necessary actions in times of crisis and contributing to the regular operation of the system are some of the student’s achievements.
A technopark and a technocity within the OSTIM ecosystem contain important opportunities in the field of aviation. In these technology centers, very important studies on aviation are carried out. In this context; Our students will be trained with the internship opportunities provided here and they will be ready to meet the needs of the market with the entrepreneurship report card application that is not available in other universities.
In order to ensure the development of students in analytical thinking and technical skills, mathematics and management information systems courses are included in the program. In addition, the curriculum offers advanced theoretical and practical electives in aviation management and civil aviation to allow students to focus on their chosen fields. Training techniques such as case studies, simulations, workshops, conferences and teamwork will be used in the lessons with new technologies.

Students who graduate from the program find the opportunity to work in the private and public sector. Students primarily study in institutions and organizations operating nationally, internationally and globally, and in private companies.
Graduates of the Department of Aviation Management can work in airline companies depending on the state or private companies and can work at airports in areas such as ground handling, passenger services, shipment operations, air transportation, logistics and marketing.
Our graduates can work in ground handling companies such as Çelebi, Havaş, and TGS in administrative positions such as operations officers and ground services officers. They can also find employment opportunities in airline companies. They can perform tasks such as planning, organization, quality control management, process management and crisis management by taking administrative duties in the units they are affiliated to.
They are open to international communication and can increase their success in the international arena with the support of foreign language education they take, besides, they can complete their undergraduate education as an experienced graduate with the practical training they will do every semester during their undergraduate education.
